Tonight I heard the news of Grandpa's death, and although a very difficult news to hear, it was somewhat relieving to know that Grandpa was finally at peace. No longer in his old mortal body, chained down by his dementia and physical pains and discomforts. I would love to have grandpa with us still, but I know that he is at peace now. I know that he is with his loved ones that have before him passed away. He was the best man I ever knew, he was my most favorite man in the whole world. I hated seeing him lose his memory and I hated seeing him go live so far away from me. I'm so glad he got to spend his last days in Indiana with Pat and Randy's family. I know he was in the right place and I know he was taken care of.
I need memories, lots and lots of memories to be written and shared here. I would love to hear them, please, for some reason my mind can not focus on one memory, just smiles, dances, feelings. Please share your memories of Grandpa with me so that I may have my memories jogged, or just some really great memories of Grandpa that I will be able to picture in my mind. I love you all, so so much.
